Two seats, rear wheel drive and a V8 engine: it is the Puritalia 427, a “hard and pure” spider built in Campania (ITALY)
MANY HORSES AND NO ELECTRONICS – Puritalia 427, which will be hand-built to measure for each customer, has a traditional technical approach. The V8 engine produced in the United States (probably by General Motors) delivers 445 horsepower (605 in the version with volumetric compressor) and is mounted under the front hood. The manual transmission has six gears, while the traction is on the rear wheels; given the power in play, the self-locking differential is not missing. The latter is the only “help” in driving: there are no electronic devices, such as stability and traction control. To tame the Puritalia 427, the pilot can only count on his skill.
